Community Engagement Subcommittee

The Community Engagement subcommittee aims to build community and foster cross-department, cross-role engagement. We strive to increase awareness of general CS knowledge, foster relationship building, and create an accessible community engagement strategy that works for all CS employees. The efforts of this subcommittee will focus on the following:

• Build Relationships: Strengthen connections across CS through partnerships (with CEB, COCC, etc.), events, and outreach efforts.
• Promote Cultural Awareness: Organize events and activities that celebrate and educate the CS community about diverse cultures, traditions, and histories.
• Encourage Participation: Increase involvement in CEB initiatives by engaging CS employees from diverse backgrounds, roles, and perspectives.
• Glean Insights from Previous Events: Leverage lessons learned from past CS events (team building, lunch and learns, town halls, etc.) to enhance CS programming and engagement.
• Recognize and Celebrate Contributions: Enhance recognition initiatives to acknowledge and celebrate the efforts and achievements of CS employees, fostering a sense of belonging and appreciation.
