About the Project

Located at the Hopkins Center for the Arts, the Courtyard Café, which operates during fall, winter, and spring terms, is a popular dining location that features a grill, fresh salad concept, and prepared-to-order foods. This project builds on last year's redesign by upgrading the kitchen's functionality and updating the dining area.

Project Goals

  • Enlarging the café's usable kitchen space and relocating office space.
  • Improving the kitchen's flow and functionality for staff.
  • Adding a new area to feature Fresh Zone vending items.
  • Updating the Hopkins Center dining area with new floors, ceiling, lights, and furnishings.

Project Timing

  • Construction work is underway with a reopening of the café planned in time for the fall 2026 term.

What's Currently Happening

  • Ongoing demolition of the existing space to prepare for upcoming work.
