Courtyard Café in the Hopkins Center

About the Project

Located at The Hopkins Center for the Arts, the Courtyard Café, which operates during fall, winter, and spring terms, is a popular dining location that features a grill, fresh salad concept, and prepared-to-order foods. This project is designed to enhance customer experience through cutting-edge ordering technology capabilities, while also offering optional in-person customer service. Additional kitchen upgrades are anticipated in future projects. 

Project Goals

  • Enhanced customer experience when placing product orders. 

  • Expanded customer order options, including improved order kiosk locations, web-based ordering, and face-to-face ordering capabilities.   

  • Increased customer sightlines into food-preparation areas. 

  • Inclusion of a wide selection of seating configurations along with added window seating. 

Project Timing

  • Construction work is underway with a reopening of the café planned for October 2025. 

What's Currently Happening

  • Demolition of the old café is nearly complete. 

  • Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work is underway. 

  • New wall and ceiling framing will begin in late July.
