Project Management

Project Across Campus

The construction projects you see around campus represent exciting investments in Dartmouth's future and are taking place in the following three categories:

  • Energy Transition: Dartmouth is committed to reaching carbon zero operations, and to reach that goal, we must reshape how we heat, cool, and power our campus. This includes enhancements to energy efficiency, the ongoing transition from steam to hot water heating, and the installation of geo-exchange borefields and high-capacity heat pumps. This team focuses on the project management and implementation functions of the Energy Transition program.

  • Undergraduate Housing: Dartmouth is making a generational investment in housing renewal with a plan to renovate the majority of undergraduate residence halls over the next 15 years and increase undergraduate housing on or within walking distance of campus. The commitment calls for 1,000 new beds in the next decade across Dartmouth to house students, faculty, and staff.

  • Renewal & Renovation: Renewal of critical building infrastructure has been a key objective of many construction projects around Dartmouth. All projects are designed and constructed to support student living, academic learning, and world-class research. This work includes architectural renovations, space and accessibility, building finishes and enhancements, and interior and exterior renovations.
