Dartmouth must update the campus infrastructure to move hot water instead of steam to use new decarbonization technologies. The first phase of upgrades will occur between summer 2024 and winter 2025. These upgrades are strategic and necessary to enable a new energy facility that will be located in the southeast portion of campus.

• Phase 1: East Wheelock Street, beginning summer 2024
• Phase 2: Dartmouth Row and Lebanon Street, beginning summer 2024
• Phase 3: Sections south of East Wheelock Street between College Street and Crosby Street, beginning January 2025
• Phase 4: The Green and Crosby Street, beginning March 2025
• Phase 5: Two vault connections, one off of East Wheelock and one off of Lebanon Street, beginning summer 2025
• Phase 6: Sections surrounding Thompson Arena, beginning summer 2025
• Phase 7: Near Berry Sport Center and along South Park Street, beginning fall 2025w
