  • Dartmouth to Dedicate New Black Family Visual Arts Center on September 14

    Dartmouth will officially dedicate the new Black Family Visual Arts Center, named in honor of former trustee Leon Black ’73 and his wife, Debra, on September 14. The institution will also celebrate the couple’s gift of a commissioned Ellsworth Kelly sculpture, Dartmouth Panels, which was installed in July on the east façade of the Hopkins Center for the Arts, facing the new Visual Arts Center. The event begins at 4:30 p.m.

  • Dartmouth Trustees Endorse Strategic Initiatives

    The Dartmouth Board of Trustees endorsed two building initiatives in support of faculty growth at its spring meeting on Friday, June 8. The Board also elected two new Charter Trustees, Laurel J. Richie ’81 and David C. Hodgson ’78, and honored four retiring Trustees as well as outgoing President Jim Yong Kim and his wife, Dr. Younsook Lim.

  • Renovated Hanover Inn is Open for Business

    Dartmouth’s ‘front door’ has opened once again to welcome guests with the June 1 debut of the redesigned Hanover Inn at Dartmouth. The lobby of the newly renovated Hanover Inn features locally produced furniture and artwork. The transformed Inn closed for major renovations last year and is reopening in phases. In this first phase, 94 of the Inn’s 108 guest rooms have reopened in time for Commencement and Reunions. (photo by Eli Burak ’00)
