About the Project
As part of President Sian Leah Beilock's commitment to add 1,000 beds for faculty, staff, and students in the next 10 years, Dartmouth is financing a $15.2 million housing development south of campus in West Lebanon, N.H., for Dartmouth employees. The 21-unit development will feature 14 two-story, three-bedroom homes; three duplexes with a total of five three-bedroom units and one two-bedroom unit; and one single-story, three-bedroom home designed for accessibility. The project is located off Route 10 on five acres off of Oak Ridge Road, and all units will include a single-car garage.
Project Goals
- Help meet pressing housing needs in the Upper Valley.
- Improve Dartmouth's ability to attract and retain the best faculty and staff by creating high-quality housing for employees close to campus.
- Control costs, ensure energy efficiency, and accelerate the building process by utilizing a modular construction model.
Project Timing

- Project Milestones:
- The road is now paved throughout the development.
- Driveways for the first 8 homes are fully paved.
- Landscaping is complete until spring for the first 8 homes.
- Community mailboxes are installed.
- The sidewalk is complete providing access to Rt 10.
What's Currently Happening
- All homes have been delivered and are on their foundations, fully sided, and porches added. Interior work is moving ahead rapidly.
- The initial 8 homes are fully leased, and Dartmouth occupancy is well underway.

- Active leasing for units 10, 11, 12, and 14/16 will commence the week of 6/1. Leases will commence 7/1/2026.
- Active leasing for units 13, 18, and 21/23 will commence the week of 6/15. Leases will commence 7/15/2026.
- Active leasing for units 9, 15/17, and 19 will commence the week of 6/29. Leases will commence 8/1/2026.
- The project development phase is expected to run through July 2026.
