Tuck Mall
About the Project
Reconstruction of Tuck Mall is slated to begin in late June 2026. The project will fully rebuild the roadway and related infrastructure from Cemetery Lane to North Main Street.
During construction, a one-way detour along Tuck Mall will be in place, with flaggers present to direct traffic. Pedestrians will continue to have access to the sidewalks on both sides of Tuck Mall. However, the crosswalks that cross Tuck Mall will be closed during construction.
In addition, Old Tuck Drive will be restricted to construction and bus traffic only and will remain closed to general vehicular traffic during working hours. The project is expected to impact regular bus routes, and the Transportation Services team is working with transit providers to adjust routes and stops to maintain service continuity. - Deliver the work with a focus on minimizing disruption to campus traffic and pedestrian movement.
Project Timing
The project begins in late June, and Phase 1 and 2 will be completed before the fall 2026 term begins. Phase 3 is expected to extend into the fall term.

- Phase 2: Restoration of sidewalks, landscaping, signage, and pavement striping.
- Phase 3: Curbing and sidewalks at the N. Main Street and Tuck Mall intersection will be adjusted to accommodate a new crosswalk configuration.
