This policy is intended to safeguard vehicles on campus, to be able to contact vehicle owners in a timely basis, and to consistently apply regulations to vehicles that are parked illegally.
All students bringing motor vehicles to Hanover must register with Transportation Services. Their offices are located on the lower level of North Massachusetts Hall with online registration encouraged at parking.dartmouth.edu. When registering, students must provide the vehicle registration, plus their valid driver's license and college ID. Parking will be assigned at the time of registration.
Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students must register their vehicles with Transportation Services and display a parking permit. Available parking lot, permit and rate information is available here.

First-year Student Vehicle Policy
First-year students are not permitted to bring a privately-owned vehicle to campus. If a rare exception to this policy is needed for emergency, medical or family reasons, please contact Transportation Services for an application.
Graduate Students

This policy affects all undergraduate and graduate students who bring vehicles to campus.
If an exception to the policy that disallows first-year students to bring vehicles on campus is needed for emergency, medical or family reasons, please contact Transportation Services for an application.
Failure to register vehicles with Transportation Services will result in a $50 fine for each event of non-compliance.
